Online Water Use Survey

Notifications to complete the annual water use survey for 2012 were mailed in late December 2012. The 2012 water use surveys was due by March 1, 2013.

Welcome to the Online Survey of Groundwater and Surface Water Use. The online survey has been created as an alternative to the paper-copy surveys. It is recommended to use Internet Explorer 8 or 9. To determine the version of Internet Explorer you are using, click on the "Help" menu in Explorer, select the "About Internet Explorer" item.

Advantages of the Online Survey

  • At any point in the survey process, the information can be saved and a draft survey of currently entered data can be saved and printed.
  • A final report of the successfully submitted survey can be downloaded.
  • For large organizations, multiple contacts can be established to allow individuals to enter their data into the survey independently.
  • Large volumes can be pasted in rather than writing large numbers into small fields.
  • Water sources reported in 2011 will be listed as default 2012 sources.
  • Specific water sources such as groundwater wells for public water systems and water rights will also automatically appear as an optional method or reporting water intake.
  • Water sales reported in 2011 will appear as 2012 default water sales for easy data entry.
  • All water source (intake) and water sale information entered this year for 2012 will be shown next year.
  • A new feature calculates the entered intake total, labeled as "Insert Calculated Total".
