Open-File Report 01-001

Geostiff is a program and graphical user interface that produce and georeference Stiff diagrams. The user prepares an input file and selects the preferred output parameters. The program is then executed from within the interface and produces ESRI ArcInfo(TM) polygon coverages ready to be displayed and edited in ArcView(TM) GIS.

Note: the GeoStiff archive contains the following files:

GeoStiff.exe (the program)
MFC42D.DLL
MFCO42D.DLL
MSVCRTD.DLL
Stiffdoc.doc (User Manual))

Zip files

Zip files (.zip) will require you to use a program developed to unzip (or unpack) the file. There are many freeware and shareware programs developed for this. One of the free software packages that is available for many different computers is Un-Zip. Use the program of your choice to open the file. Some of these programs will also do all of the installation work as well. Otherwise, you may need to run an executable (see above) after unzipping the program.
