News Release | Austin - February 2, 2012 The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $191,110,000 as follows:

- $3,600,000 from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to the Bluebonnet Water Supply Corporation (Bell and McLennan Counties) to finance wastewater system improvements;
- $1,560,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 46 (Harris County) to finance water system improvements;
- $500,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Matagorda County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 (Matagorda County) to finance water system improvements;
- $175,000,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the San Jacinto River Authority (Montgomery County) to finance development costs of a water supply project;
- $4,100,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the City of Shallowater (Lubbock County) to finance water system improvements;
- $2,000,000 from the Agricultural Water Conservation Program to the Sandy Land Underground Water Conservation District (Yoakum County);
- $3,150,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Willis (Montgomery County) to finance water system improvements;
- $1,200,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Eldorado (Schleicher County) to finance wastewater system improvements.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the State Water Plan for the development of the state's water resources. TWDB administers cost-effective financial programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
