News Release | Austin - December 15, 2011 The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $63,540,000 as follows:

- $2,070,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Center (Shelby County) to finance wastewater system improvements;
- $1,500,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Hubbard (Tarrant County) to finance wastewater system improvements;
- $2,750,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund-Disadvantaged Community to the City of Robert Lee (Coke County) to finance water system improvements;
- $2,426,000 from the Economically Distressed Areas Program to the Agua Special Utility District (Hidalgo County) to finance acquisition and design costs for a wastewater project;
- $4,679,000 from the Economically Distressed Areas Program to the City of Alamo (Hidalgo County) to finance wastewater system improvements;
- $1,135,000 from the Water Infrastructure Fund to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority (Cooke County) to finance water system improvements;
- $4,400,000 from the Water Infrastructure Fund to the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (Gonzalez, Hays, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, and Kendall Counties) to finance development costs of a water supply project;
- $41,965,000 from the Water Infrastructure Fund to the West Harris County Regional Water Authority (Harris County) to finance development costs of a water supply project;
- $665,000 from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to the Birome Water Supply Corporation (Hill, Limestone and McLennan Counties) to finance water system improvements;
- $2,000,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Parker County Special Utility District to finance water system improvements.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the State Water Plan for the development of the state's water resources. TWDB administers cost-effective financial programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
