News Release | Austin - June 22, 2011 Texas Water Development Board approves financing for water related projects in Texas communities

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $69,780,000 as follows:
- $2,000,000 from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to the Moffat Water Supply Corporation (Bell County) to finance water system improvements;
- $310,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the North San Saba Water Supply Corporation (San Saba County) to finance water system improvements;
- $67,470,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the San Jacinto River Authority (Montgomery County) to finance construction of a water supply project.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the State Water Plan for the development of the state's water resources. TWDB administers cost-effective financial programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
