Demonstration of Fiberglass Well Casings in Brackish Groundwater Wells
Project Summary:
Currently, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality does not permit well casings to be made of materials other than those listed under rule §290.41(c)(3).
However, recent research has suggested that fiberglass casings offer significant cost savings and have better corrosion resistance properties compared to steel casings. This study will design and install a groundwater production well using fiberglass well casings.
