Environmental Flows Advisory Committee

Welcome

With Executive Order No. RP-50, Governor Rick Perry created the Environmental Flows Advisory Committee, whose charge is to develop recommendations to establish a process that will achieve a consensus-based, regional approach to integrate environmental flow protection into the water allocation process while assuring that human water needs are satisfied.. The committee will examine relevant issues and make recommendations for action and legislation concerning flow allocation to meet human and environmental needs at all times, including during drought conditions.

The Committee shall submit a full report, including findings and legislative recommendations, to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House of Representatives no later then December 31, 2006.

This website serves as the forum for the dissemination of information related to the Environmental Flows Advisory Committee.
