Texas Water Development Board

To provide leadership, planning, financial assistance, information, and education for the conservation and responsible development of Water for Texas.

TWDB DATA

The Texas Water Development Board supports several efforts to make water and natural resource data available to the public. The TWDB has staff who collect data on many topics and has cooperators who share their data. To facilitate intra-agency cooperation and making available the vast amount of data, the agency supports several Web servers and domains.

In addition to the TWDB's main Web site, the agency also supports the Texas Natural Resource Information Service (TNRIS), and the Border Information Center.

This Web site attempts to list all of the data that is available from the TWDB and its cooperators. Some of the information indexed is located on these TWDB supported sites.

Spatial data serves many varied business functions at the Texas Water Development Board. Whether in the form of paper maps, digital databases, or somewhere in between, these data aid decision making and analysis throughout the agency. GIS plays a key role in the development and distribution of this information.
